Meet the mind behind meaningful minds

Priya Singhvi

Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Welcome. I’m Priya – psychotherapist and relationship counselor – and I’m on a mission to help minds thrive while navigating the complexities of life – relationships, work, and self.

I love helping people who are navigating life transitions – from starting a new job, healing after a breakup, launching into school, or exploring a new part of your identity. I especially love working with millennial women, success-oriented couples, high achievers + ambitious folks (enneagram 3s!), and perfectionists. Whether you’ve never been to therapy or have invested in your mental health for years, Meaningful Minds opens the door to a deeper understanding of yourself and your mind.

I believe that our brains are naturally adaptive and a clear understanding of how your mind works can empower healthy change. That’s why I use a combination of mindfulness, CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), and EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) when I work with clients.

I started my career as a therapist in 2006.

In those first years, I worked on an inpatient psychiatric hospital for children living with severe mental illness and disordered eating. In subsequent years, I worked with clients in private practice facing complex family patterns, parenting challenges, and trauma. I worked in school settings with success-driven parents and high-achieving learners. Through it all, I studied the cutting edge of neuroplasticity and resilience (and being the insatiably curious learner I am, I also studied social justice, EMDR, social-emotional literacy, and cutural competency). I loved helping people get curious about their inner worlds, explore their own hearts, and find meaning + unapologetic truth in their lives.

My Approach:

My first and primary goal is to help you feel seen and bring awareness to a whole
constellation of your joys and pains – a process which often relaxes long held defenses, releasing your
own motivation and natural ability to consciously move forward with change.

Illuminating the mysteries of the human condition gives me energy when I wake up in the morning.

Practicing as a generalist, I provide active support through guidance and feedback to help you address short-
or long-term challenges. I prioritize client strengths and work with you to identify areas of growth.

Since everyone is different, I use various combinations of evidence-based approaches in order to provide effective, individualized care. Additionally, I strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment where one can develop insight to better understand and possibly change behavioral or relational patterns that interfere with happiness and fulfillment.
