Priya Ericson Singhvi
LPC-S, LMFT-S, CFT (TM)
With over a decade of experience in private practice, Priya Ericson Singhvi is a skilled clinician who has helped hundreds of adults, couples, and families discover a more empowered and meaningful life.
Priya specializes in relieving anxiety and unburdening the “disease to please” that afflicts many high-achieving perfectionists.
As the first in her family to do a lot of things—leave medical school to pursue psychology, go to therapy, and marry outside of her race and culture—Priya understands the unique struggles of honoring your culture and tradition while making space for your personal goals and boundaries. Raised to value hard work, resilience, and success over emotional awareness, Priya learned to excel, but felt love and happiness were tied to performance.
Priya’s multicultural background and personal journey allows her to approach therapy with a deep understanding of navigating the constant pursuit of excellence while honoring one’s unique cultural identity. Having been on a similar path herself, Priya is passionate about helping people, especially fellow South Asians and high achievers, disentangle their sense of self-worth from their accomplishments.
She uses a holistic approach in her practice, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), the Gottman Method, Relational Life Therapy (RLT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness techniques. Priya’s comprehensive, customized approach supports clients as they identify together how patterns were developed and work to find new ways of thinking and feeling.
In her spare time, you can find Priya on the couch with her husband catching Ramit Sethi’s latest podcast, getting parenting wisdom from Dr. Becky and Tinyhood, or playing at the park with her two young daughters.
“I am passionate about helping people navigate life transitions—entering parenthood, healing after a loss, exploring a new part of your identity, or pursuing your financial goals. I am especially drawn to helping perfectionists, anxious achievers, fellow millennial women, and ambitious couples thrive and create a more meaningful life with empathy, curiosity, and practical insights.”

Currently hooked on A.P. Bio—because who doesn't love a snarky, over-educated high school teacher who’s brilliant yet completely off the rails? I secretly wish I could be as witty as Jack Griffin (minus, you know, the whole "sabotaging students' futures" thing). It’s the perfect mix of intellectual humor and absurdity, making it my go-to for unwinding at the end of the day.
Reading
These days, I’m diving into Breath by James Nestor. It's a fascinating look at how something as simple as breathing can change our lives in big ways. Nestor’s deep dive into the science of breath is packed with insights that I look forward to applying to my personal life and my work with clients.
Listening
Thanks to my two little ones, "Grown Ups Come Back" from Daniel Tiger is my #1 most played song on my Spotify Wrapped. But hey, I’m not complaining—I’m all about those catchy tunes that also teach life lessons. Outside of kiddie jams, I’m into pretty much anything from JP Saxe’s mellow vibes to the Wicked soundtrack. After all, music is a mirror.
Learning
Right now, I’m diving into the Montessori method—a teaching approach that emphasizes hands-on learning, independence, and respect for a child's natural development. It’s all about empowering kids to be independent thinkers and problem solvers. And it turns out that because it encourages practical life skills, the broom and dustpan have become my daughter’s favorite toys!
